Ezywire® Conception and History

Jamie Stenhouse has been involved in agriculture & agribusiness since 1985. 

Hawkeye Fencing was established in 2002 when Jamie and his wife Tina moved to Tamborine in the Gold Coast Hinterland QLD. The business focused on residential and acreage fencing which regularly involved the use of prefabricated wire and also chain wire. In 2006, the idea for Ezywire® was developed and in 2010 the machine (Ezywire®) was patented and commercial development pursued. 

Ezywire® was a finalist in the Australian Innovation Challenge in 2012 and 2013. Ezywire® also won the Agquip Farm Inventor competition sponsored by The Land newspaper in 2012. A lot of encouragement from fencing contractors and primary producers has helped to spur them on.

Ezywire® is patented in Australia and New Zealand with the business currently being operated from Dubbo NSW.
